On tasting
Ruby, turning garnet with the years. On the nose the cherry and violet of Sangiovese, with the earth and spice this ground gives on its own. On the palate the tannin is dry and the acidity holds: a stern wine that does not tire you at the table.
At the table
Game, bistecca, red meat over coals.
